Also, if someone says im "autistic" you just ban them from discord? What if said person is actually "autistic?" And they don't even realize saying something like this will get them banned?

 

I have a highly functioning autistic cousin who will randomly say "fuck autism" but cant help it, it just happens. So this is reason to ban from discord?

 

On a side note: Why would anyone in their right mind be offended by someone else saying "I'm autistic?"

Hi. So I understand your line of questioning, trust me none of us on staff wanted to have to have a blanket ban on certain words. However, the words we placed in the filter are effectively those that we find that the vast majority of the time they are used, it is in an negative or otherwise unacceptable manner. Because there are only so many of us on staff, and we can't be babysitting the discord every hour of every day, we ended up going with this solution. I get where you're coming from, it's just mainly the fact that 95% of the time these words are being used, they're not in the manner you're describing.
