Its been fairly apparent to me that the Global Mod Hashtag is abusing the reputation system for a while now,

on most if not all of his paid script threads he forces anyone who wants to trial his script to up vote (give rep) to him first in order to get the trial,

This is abusing the system in a few ways, giving his thread more bumps by the comments then he comments on those,

but more importantly reputation should be earned, not forced just to try his script (try before you buy)

I want some more feedback from what people think, if this is allowed them everyone should put blocks on their trials and scripts until people give them rep first.

I want to hear some feedback, I think this should be disallowed and all the reputation hes gained from up votes like this be removed from him.

I've also seen some people recently forcing people to buy low quantities of a product so that they can gain more feedback from their sales.

Rep abuse seems to not be in the scope of staff perhaps?

    I don't think I'm breaking any rules

Are we all insecure enough that rep matters that much?

The real documentation of how well a person writes scripts/sells gold etc should be the FEEDBACK give on the users profile.

To me, reputation is just an excuse for someone to slap their jimmy on the table and say "look at me"

Asking for an upvote in order to get a trial is not abusing the reputation system.

There is no rule against saying "Promote me, and you'll get a trial"

If he was saying "Give me money, and I'll give you a trial" that's a bad thing.

If he's saying "Tell me that my script is awesome, and I'll give you a trial" that's probably also a bad thing.

It's a thread upvote, dude. The consequence of having a high thread upvote count is literally zero.

Having people post is just his way of tracking who he needs to give a trial and when.

If you can tell me why this is actually abuse, then feel free to explain it.

It tricks inexperienced buyers into thinking the player is trusted, when in reality all they have done is $2 trades over and over.

If this is actually true something has to change.
