A few questions for fellow CSCI students: 1) Do you guys think there are TOO many people entering the CSCI field? 2) Is an associates enough to get a starting job in the field? 3) What are some of the most important languages to learn for back-end development? A few questions for fellow CSCI students: 1) Do you guys think there are TOO many people entering the CSCI field? 2) Is an associates enough to get a starting job in the field? 3) What are some of the most important languages to learn for back-end development? 3) Java It's an excellent back end language (although it's not very "hip" and takes a bit more code to start). Ruby on Rails, JS (I like node.js), PHP are all nice too, it mostly depends on what you're doing and how large of an application you're writing.
