Hey im trying to run a succesfull farm with the use of windows XP, since this os uses less resources when it comes to background tasks.

I have java installed + browser ssl certificates are up to date (so i can browse the internet and  also download files from it) and so i was able to download and install OSRS (i have played in this client without any problem).

Now the problem im facing rn is that im unable to connect through the DBlauncher, changelog isnt available...

I tried launching with cmd,  java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar C:\client\DBLauncher.jar but im only getting this error:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator> java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -j
    ar C:\client\DBLauncher.jar
    Downloading latest client version...

So yeah any way around this? i tried installing Osbot and this works without a problem, since all my scripts are coded for DB i would like to keep it this way.

oh btw, i disabled windows firewall in services.msc so that shouldnt be a problem as well...

surely you are trolling. stop this right away.

pretty sure there are bash scripts for windows that will clean up the background tasks, or just use linux.

@camalCase broo expand your way of thinking before you call someone else a troll, i have 80accounts up and running in osbot as we speak (windows xp 64bit and going very stable). So if you are not able to give me a proper answer please dont respond at all, if this isnt resolved within the week il just update all my script for osbot only, we'll see who is trolling then xd

If you want to be a winshitter that bad, use https://atlasos.net/
Otherwise, use linux or go back to osbot please lol

@camalCase yes works like a charm, staying at only 1 bot client is just limiting yourself... so yeah i have osbot in winxp, dreambot in win10 and runemate in win11.

So i truly dont care if its not the perfect os enviroment and i truly dont give a damn about banrates when it comes to osbot and dreambot. @obersi done it and tested it as well, xp still wins since atlasOS is based on win10, so yeah why virtualise 10x win10 vms when u can achieve 19x winXP with same cpu load?

Why not use a light weight linux distribution then? It would beat out both of them (atlas/winxp) and you can keep your silly 19 vms + some lol.

@camalCase no because its just waay cleaner like this, also if i dont do it like this those clients wont even fit on 4screens... why make it hard when it can be quiet easy lol
