LostVirt 106 Share Posted September 28, 2020 Hi, So i've noticed that even if i use "-Xmx256m -Xms256m" on Debian 9 Stretch the db3 client uses around 650-750mb of ram, but on Windows 2016 server OS or whatever it is.. it only uses 260-300mb. Is this because of Debian 9 or is there any way to get it as close as Windows ram usage?

One problem i had is the cache folders get filled to the brim and crash my raspberry pi. So i had to clear them before every new run. (DBFolderCache and /temp). Idk if this will screw with other clients while they are running or not.
Pandemic 2714 Share Posted September 28, 2020 The VM can't use more RAM than you allow it to, make sure you're setting your VM options (Xmx/Xms here) before the -jar part of your command
LostVirt 106 Author Share Posted September 28, 2020 Not sure where it would leak though, since its only using a lot of ram on Debian 9, havnt tried any other OS though. Dont really think it could be those files either
