    Hi,

So i've noticed that even if i use "-Xmx256m -Xms256m" on Debian 9 Stretch the db3 client uses around 650-750mb of ram, but on Windows 2016 server OS or whatever it is.. it only uses 260-300mb.

Is this because of Debian 9 or is there any way to get it as close as Windows ram usage?

You shouldn't need to use -Xms first of all
What are you using to view the ram usage on the client using debian?

According to Pandemic, the issue seems to be with AdoptOpenJDK HotSpot, and ram usage is way better with OpenJ9 if anyone was wondering aswell :)

I wouldn't dare use OpenJDK. I'd manually install Oracle with whatever means necessary. I'd even compile it if i had to. Had tons of problems launching bot clients with openjdk. But 3 cheers for open source anyway.
