Grimbles 20 Posted September 10, 2016 So my first bot I've ever used on OSRS got banned today... Apparently the system detected it and it got wiped out. It was a F2P wcing bot, and while I may have left it on for quite some time over-night, I did babysit it a bit and log every so often which seemed pretty okay to me, but I guess the logs were already in by the time I started learning how to do it better. How often do your bots get banned? I will probably set up another one, also at what point do they consider banning IP's? Because that would blow if I couldn't ever access RS again :/
Pandemic 2842 Posted September 10, 2016 Bots are banned all the time, how long did you actually bot in total? F2P bots are banned more frequently than members, plus mass botted skills like woodcutting and mining are even more watched.
Pandemic 2842 Posted September 10, 2016 Probably about 15 hours over the course of two days That's pretty excessive, especially for a f2p account. Try botting no more than 4-5 hours a day on f2p.
Before 96 Posted September 11, 2016 Probably about 15 hours over the course of two days That's a fuck ton.
ImFromHell 3 Posted September 11, 2016 I bot, 6 Hours a day with the #1 wood cutting bot in f2p hashtag made, just got 98 wc today ive been using this bot since lvl 94 still not banned, I babysit my account and stuff though. Also where did you bot the woodcutting? you got to go low risk areas?
Prison Break 85 Posted September 11, 2016 babysitting your bot does nothing unless the script is not flawless. Jagex doesn't have a camera on you lol P.S f2p bots don't survive long =p

Also where did you bot the woodcutting? you got to go low risk areas? I wouldn't trust someone with an username like your's :S My advice to botters is to switch up what you're botting. From all the botting i've done, i can say that real players pay close attention to the players surrounding them. If you stay in one are for too long they'll grow suspicious and report you. Also, if you're a lvl 3 str8 off tut island and all you've done is WC for 10 days str8 you'll look suspicious. It's just common sense. Of course, it's not fool-proof but it does go a long way.

Yes, DefCon you are correct, as of my technique, I change my location every 1-2 days of cutting yews, so the script does different routes, banking all that. To answer my baby-sitting is because it gets you less reports, because you reply to players there-fore thinking you are not a botter. Also to add to that JMods, do go invisible they also make random events pop up, may log you're account out to see how the bot responds to it or if you're a real player and how he reacts to it. So talking in my opinion helps, as I've been botting in F2p for maybe 3-4 weeks now 6 hours a day everyday, and I'm still not banned and by the looks of it they don't even have my IP Flagged, or even watching me. I just got 98 yesterday and I'll see how I go to get 99 if I get banned or not.
