Hey, I'm not sure if I completely understood your issue. Make sure you have enough negative magic bonus so your secondary spell splashes. This way you don't need to attack multiple zombies. Hey, this is a client related bug, which needs to be fixed by the developers of DreamBot. Is it still happening or has it been already fixed? As long as there's some kind of obstacle between your character and the enemy, it should be good. Varrock castle monk or Edgeville skeleton at the ditch are great examples of these.
