Chrispwns 2 Posted September 1, 2015 I have noticed that if I allocated more than the default amount of ram to the client it wouldn't start. I have tried 8gb and 6gb, neither worked, only solution was to reset the value to 1gb.
Swaq 243 Posted September 1, 2015 The max I have ever allocated was 512 mb lol. Try going as low as you can?
Chapter 55 Posted September 1, 2015 I've ever only really allocated 512-1024mb in the past, never see the point in going any higher. May I ask why would you want to allocate more then 1gb+ ?
Dreamlicker 750 Posted September 1, 2015 I can open clients with 8+gb of RAM, just for informations sake. Never had any issues.

Nuclear Nezz 2107 Posted September 6, 2015 You can only allocate a certain % of your available RAM, afaik. Your OS reserves some of that as well for whatever purposes it needs, so if you try to bump into what your OS reserves, they yell at each other. (this is just my guess) If you have a large amount of RAM, you should be able to allocate more. If you have 8GB of RAM, you can't allocate 8 GB of RAM. You probably can't even allocate 4. I'd generally stick to 1GB or less, but then again I also run each of my accounts in a separate client.
Scarydog 2 Posted May 8, 2017 I have 16 gb of ram and cant go over the default amount. client wont launch.
