longarm 0 Posted April 15, 2024 I still have random events linger in my client without being dismissed despite having the setting toggled on. I am running self-made scripts so I'm confident I'm not going out of my way to disable this functionality. Am I misunderstanding how this option is supposed to work or is it just not functional?

Dismissal isn't always instant. The random handler will often have some delays when dismissing as does a normal player. Edited April 15, 2024 by MaximusPrimo
Pandemic 2853 Posted April 15, 2024 I've personally seen it dismiss a random event yesterday, so I'm sure it's still working. Like Max said above, it can start a random time after it appears, and very rarely it'll completely ignore them. It also won't dismiss them if you're in combat, so that could be another factor?
longarm 0 Author Posted April 16, 2024 Thanks for the info, I'll try and let it run for a bit so I have a better sample size - maybe I just got unlucky with ignored or late dismissals.
