i used jarfix, and followed the getting started guide to a T but whenever i launch the program itll pull up the launcher and just say "please wait.. client is downloading!" along with a list of fixes this patch. only this pops up and nothing else. i ran jarfix to see if thatd help and it did nothing. i figure maybe i just need to be patient and went and took a nap while it downloaded, still says same thing. thoughts?

Are you using a private pc on a private network?

A school or work computer and network could block this kind of traffic.

    Also check the information here:

    Still not working?

I'd try a clean reinstallation of Dreambot and if that doesn't work make sure both anti-virus, firewall and potential anti-virus internet software is turned off(McAfee uses its own firewall to block internet traffic for example).

i just reinstalled java as well as downloaded the DBlauncher (from all links in guide following them step by step). it still does same thing where it pulls up but just says please wait client is waiting. i double checked that an exception for file has been made on antivirus. I am also on a private computer on my own personal home network.

that file does not exist. i put it on my desktop when i originally downloaded the .jar, should i put it elsewhere? perhaps this is why the launcher isnt working?????

That file would exist if it had downloaded properly it looks like you can't get the client to download at all.

Maybe it's possible to sideload a release and then see if it will update? Can you also check the local permissions for the DBLauncher? Right click -> Properties -> Security: Read/Write/Full access checked?

You should also try running it with java 8 via cmd to make sure it's not using the wrong version. See how here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10757851/run-a-jar-file-using-a-specific-jre
Java 8 can also be named Java 1.8 when looking for the correct path.
