Multiple tabs

What happened to being able to add multiple tabs on the same client to run multiple clients on the same client, so i don't have to have my taskbar full of different clients, and it gets hard to keep track of which ones are which and gets unorganized, i remember this was a thing you could do a long time ago, what happend to it?
