I don't understand what you're saying. You're first saying they do collect data, but they don't? They do collect hardware data... They say so on their site.

What client? Jagex does collect your data. It's not about what I think, Jagex does collect your data, they clearly state that fact.

My point for quoting it was to show that they can and do in fact collect the IP, MAC and HWID* data. Where do you see that they don't collect that data? You may not get chain banned, but it could be a reason for Jagex to raise flags more quickly on your HWID, MAC and IPs from an account that shares that same information with others to make your subsequent accounts more likely to get banned. That's the whole reason why residential proxies are a more commonly used and VPN's are not, when botting. I agree, definitely resource usage for spoofing is something to take into consideration, but with proper methods, it should be lightweight.

Why wouldn't there be a reason to? Changes to your HWID & MAC address would then mean your VM and computer are two separate systems and preventing any traceability back to your host computer. Leaving bans to be less chain-able, right?

Are these viable? Couldn't find much definitive info. My research shows that a VM could very much be a viable option for running clients with different HWIDs/MAC address. Can anyone confirm?
