Banned while not logged in

Well it happened, I got banned, and rightfully so. The thing I don't understand is I turned my bot off at night, traded my items off the account, and signed out. The next morning I try to sign in and Ive been banned for a macroing major =D

 

I didn't know I could be banned while not signed in to the third party client. Can anybody educate me on this to prevent future bans?

Runescape delay bans you between 1 to 3 days usually so you probably got caught botting and got delay banned =(

 

to avoid bans i'd recommend taking alot of breaks (act humanlike, don't bot free scripts cause those tend to have higher banrates, bot different stuff don't bot something for 3days for example without doing anything else in-game) mix stuff up =)

I choose to bot skills in 6 hour increments, and one skill a day with pking random in between. 

Such as,
Mining day 1,
Superheating ore day 2,
Pest control day 3,
Crafting day 4,
So on and so on. Each for 6 hours a day. Also pking for an hour or so each day.
