SynBous 2 Posted July 7, 2016 Hello all,I'm new to this community, so first of all hey! Name is Syn, I've been lurking the forums for a few weeks and testing out some basic free scripts. I invested in some 30 day proxies and VIP, and I've been running some F2P bots. Now I have some questions: I understand one merit of VPS is that it would allow my bots to run off my machine -- saving resources etc. Does this mean the VPS would have a distinct (proxy) IP? Does this flag my account as a potential bot, or would the proxy be private. If someone could point me to a good example service and explain how exactly I would use it I'd be very greatful.Secondly, for proxies my understanding is that SOCKS5 is the only way to go. Is this true, and if so, why? What do sites like this one do? I realize these may be some pretty basic questions, and I feel like I've got a baseline understanding of the concepts from my personal research, but any help is really appreciated. I'm trying to understand how everything works together. Much appreciated,Syn
Dreamlicker 750 Posted July 7, 2016 A VPS does have its own IP address, otherwise other computers would not be able to communicate with it over the internet. The IP address would just be one that the company you are renting the VPS from has, and is very likely a random IP address. As for good services, I don't bot on my VPS so I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else will chime in for that part. @Xylate is also the owner of that website, so he can probably help you out with that second question too

If you do have a way to help me set up a VPS for botting I'd be interested in that! Thanks much friend

Thanks much friend Hey, we currently are getting ready to release our VPS line, but I can refer you to several large companies if you are looking for a reliable VPS. I have already replied to another message of yours regarding the proxies.
Hashtag 9030 Posted July 7, 2016 Hello, nice to meet you Syn =) I hope you enjoy your stay at the dream. I also wanted to let you know that whatever you are purchasing from the store, you can get a cheap voucher from me. Up to 20% discount on scripts, 15% discount on VIP... I mean, how amazing is that?
chaosfurian 15 Posted July 7, 2016 I bot solely on a virmach runescape vps. Mainly because Australian internet gives some scripts trouble. Insanely fast load times and gives me heaps more RAM at my disposal when using my own PC. It's great for a beginner like you because the VPS you're renting has all the bots already downloaded for you.
