sommers 0 Posted June 13, 2024 I am running DreamBot on Windows 11 and I am having trouble reading some of the options in a variety of scripts because the initial option menu window is small, cannot be resized by dragging the edges or corners with the mouse, and words are crushed or hidden from the window being too small to display everything. Some menu windows in some scripts CAN be resized, so I have been assuming it's an option enabled/disabled within the Java script itself. Does DreamBot have an override option to resize these windows in the client itself or do I have the option of going into the scripts and activating menu resizing myself? I have found a variety of folders in my Program Files, User folder, and App Data relating to Java and DreamBot but I cannot find where the scripts are stored.
morten1ela 31 Posted June 13, 2024 This looks like you've got text scaling enabled. See if you can adjust that, it's probably in the accessibility settings on windows 11. If you can't resize the GUI it's probably because the developer disabled resizing. As far as I'm aware, there's no way to force it as it's determined in the scripts code. A user ran into a similar problem with my script and I had to adjust how I constructed the GUI slightly to accommodate text scaling.

You were right that my scaling was up (125% instead of 100%) but changing it back didn't change anything except the size of the windows, the problem with the text stayed the same. The screenshot I posted, the same crushed text appears in the smaller window at default scaling. Thank you for the reply though, that kind of gives me an idea of where to start.

While I was messing around with the scaling stuff myself, I had to restart the launcher for the scaling changes to take effect on the script GUI. If this doesn't solve your issue (or if text scaling is already 100%), it'd be best to bring it up with Pandemic and see if he has a solution since it's his script. Ease of Access Settings in windows 10: I apologize for the late reply. I have now gone into the accessibility menu and confirmed that text sizing was at 100%, the only thing that ever changed was the graphics scale, the text sizing slider has never been used. In other words the problem still persists.
DogasGaming 0 Posted October 17, 2024 I have the same issue as well, when I start my dreambot client integrated/patched to Runelite I see that the font quality is distorted and also the graphics quality as well. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this issue? I've checked the settings of the Dreambot client, but trying to rescale the window size from the default resolution to higher resolution didn't help, and we don't have a save button on the client to change the settings? or does it save the changed settings automatically?
