    which version of java do i need? the latest is like java 17, or 18 or something like that. do i need to uninstall my old java if its higher then 8 ???

    Uninstalling your previous Java would be the most straightforward. If you still need your current version of Java for something else you can either right click the DBLauncher.jar and use the Open with dialogue to select the correct Java version, or give the correct Java version priority in your environment variables and launch DreamBot from the terminal.
