Just starting scripting... any good basic scripts or tutorials to follow?

I have decided to get into scripting as I have been learning java. I have been wondering if there are any basic scripts that I can look at to get an understanding of the methods and api. I would also be interested in a tutorial. I have gone through this so far: https://dreambot.org/guides/scripter-guide/how-to/overview/

And I am looking for something a little more...
