Question about muling with the new trade restriction

Sir Pugger made a video where bots would transfer to their mules by letting the mules kill them in wilderness. The new trade restriction makes it so that if you have noted items, 20 of the notes will be dropped on death for the killer to be able to pick up. So the bots brought 20 bank notes of expensive items as a way to mule over the gold. What I don't understand is why didn't the bots just bring their cash stack out? Cash is dropped on death, so it doesn't make sense for the bots to go through this extra measure, unless it somehow affects ban rates.
