Data Collection for Forum/Client?

Hello, is there any TOS for DreamBot other than this one when signing up https://dreambot.org/forums/index.php?/terms/? I want to delete any data on the admin side that you guys might be holding. It would be safer for players like me who want to keep their information private, in the cases of data breaches or leaks. There doesn't seem to be any TOS on what collection you guys have on your end. Such as tying RS account names to dreambot forum names, and also IP locations tied to your forum account,  etc.

Can the admins make a clear post on what they collect datawise? Maybe if not you can give us the option of deleting that data? I've seen multiple threads about account deletion for the forums, but most of them are ignored. I would like to delete an older account I have that I don't use anymore along with any sort of data tied to it. Can an admin help me out? I've used your client for a long time and I appreciate the work you do. Please give us this option. This would make users feel safer about using your client.

O I swear I responded to this.

We don't save any information about your runescape accounts to anything, that all remains local. We have your IP addresses used on the forums which we only use to find multiple accounts or links to accounts that do malicious things.

If you fill out information for payment purposes and choose to save that to your account, then that's stored and is completely available for you to remove on your own as well.

PM's are saved, though I believe if both parties delete the PM it's deleted from the system, as well.

I've haven't seen anything TOS related other than the link you provide signing up, so if you have this info located somewhere else it would be nice to have it linked to sign up as well. Glad to hear that runescape details are local only and not online.

What about forum account deletion?

I can see why you might not want to provide account deletion incase people want to do malicious things and delete their accounts immediately. But the invision account deletion snippet I posted requires verification from admins before deletion.

It would be a great option to provide to the community for paranoid people like myself who wouldnt want any database leaks of credit cards, IP addresses, etc to be leaked through a forum hack (though very unlikely). An additional layer of protection for users. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry for the late response.

I'll talk with Pandemic to see where we can add in something in the TOS for data collection. I think we might have to look up a bit on what's required for us to actually include, I believe there was a new law in EU that was passed a bit ago about data privacy and such.

We can ban your account, we can change your account name if you're concerned about it being linked to any IRL or sensitive information (or you can get a vip trial and change it yourself for a dollar or w/e)

Your IP address though we will keep in our system specifically for spam protection, or security reasons (such as if you scam somewhere else, and all they have is an IP to link you to other forums)

Credit cards you're fully in control of, if you have it on your account you can remove it from your account and it's fully deleted from the servers and everything (as far as I'm aware)

IPB did just add a new feature in ACP for downloading all information related to a specific account, labeled as "Download Personal Information" so if you are curious as to what we store related to your account, I do believe that would show it. I haven't looked 100% into what is included in it, but I can do so and let you know.
