How to avoid an Area while Walking

Is it possible to avoid a certain Area while using Walking.walk(), or another walking function?

 

Specifically, I want to walk between the Varrock Southeast Mine and the Grand Exchange, but right now it's just walking straight through the Dark Mages, which will kill me over time (no armor, no defence)

So I want to avoid the Mages, either by

• going around their Summoning Circle
• or by routing through the Varrock East entrance instead.

Whichever is shorter

 

Is there already a built-in function where i can pass an Area Object to be avoided into, or would I have to write that myself?
