This short HowTo will demonstrate how to setup proxies with DB client and through alternative methods.

    Alternative

    Method 1

The proxies file located in the BotData folder within the main DreamBot directory is an alternative method. This is the structure of the file:

    Nickname
    127.0.0.1
    8000
    Username
    Password

    A better example would be:

    proxy1
    127.0.0.1
    1080
    Username
    Password
    proxy2
    127.0.0.1
    1080
    Username
    Password

I would recommend this method to ensure data is filled and you can see any white spaces that could have caused you an issue.

    Method 2

The quckstart method is best for automation especially when external software is involved or simplicity.

Within your startup script for the bots you just need to include these parameters before you put the -jar part:

    -Dhttp.proxyHost=127.0.0.1 -Dhttp.proxyPort=1080 -Dhttp.proxyUser=user -Dhttp.proxyPassword=pass

Tip: Look into bash scripting, look into ways of extracting data from a file and then "maybe" using it to assign proxies and making your life easier. Could also use the same method to extract data from an account list and make your life EVEN more easier.

    Enjoy

Sorry mate, I can't see your images in your Method 1.

Thanks for the great job! will try! ;)

The site I used is down atm, the domain owner forgot to renew it so it'll take couple days for it to be back.

Hi! I know this may be an old post but I no longer have access to the initial start up menu where I can adjust the settings for the proxy, it goes straight to loading the runescape client mask. Any ideas?

    Cheers!
