Chris 154 Share Posted December 11, 2014 You got dis. My uncle just went through heart surgery and he kicked its ass. Best piece of advice I can give you is get to know your surgeon real well. They are the first person you need to go to if you have any pain or discomfort in the hospital. Do not rely on word of mouth from the aids. My uncle had to go in for a second surgery because he was coughing so much it broke the wire holding his sternum together. It could have all been avoided with a bit of cough medications. The nurses tried the 'hey go tell dr. xxx that yyy is coughing - hey zzz, go tell dr. xxx that yyy is coughing, hey xyz, go tell dr. xxx that...' Moral of the story, speak up about anything that concerns you and directly to your doctor. It will make everything 1000x easier, I promise Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
