need help :( cant open dreambot/download issue?

i recently hard reset my laptop coz its old and was running shitty, osrs playing well now with no lag, only issue is im trying to download dreambot again but it keeps saying error when i try open it? im not to tech savvy but before the reset i was botting/ running dream bot fine. now i cant even seem to download propper nor open, when i click to open its asking me  "select an app to open this .jar file, iv tried downloading java but doesn't seem to work either, have i fucked something by full resetting my laptop? any help appreciated D;
