But Jagex receives video feed from the account in question when they receive a report. Having chat off when someone talks to you may help an appeal case.

So question; the only way to get banned is to be caught not replying while botting, like if your asleep irl? Say i babysit the bot and reply if needed, will i not get banned? I've always thought RS could detect a bot from just the client, can someone explain please =0 sorry for my lack of knowledgement in this area -thanks

No one really knows how they ban, if they did, there would be no bans. Some say lots of factors come into play, including player reporting, which seems to be a big one.

The only thing reponding to people would help you to do, is decrease the chances of players reporting you for macroing.

Very doubtful that would help you, should Jagex have a need to analyse your in game actions for non-human interactions.

It's all just speculation and trial and error in botting to know what can work for you and what unfortunately does not and gets you banned.

Bottomline is, there is ALWAYS a risk when you bot your account, so if you care about it, don't bot on it.
