Ban from manual play on Dream Bot

I was recently curious if OSRS has any way of detecting a 3rd party client. I have had minor bans on 2 accounts running very safe premium scripts with covert mode on. 

 

I decided to play on the dream bot client for a day leveling as much as I can in one day. 

 

I took a new account finished a few quests then spent the day leveling ATT, STR to 10. DEF and Range to 25. Cooking to 10. Then I sold a bond and bought Big Bones and buried to 37 prayer. ALL manual with no scripts. 

 

I received a ban this morning on that account. Not complaining just providing info.

Can you provide a screenshot of the reason for ban, was it 3rd party ban or macro ban? What was the length?

Heres the screenshot, funny part is Ive never received a Major ban on the first offense before. even when actually botting.

It's a fresh account, so that's why you didn't received a two days ban as a warning.

I already have 50+ accounts get banned. A few have not though. Some scripts on this site auto ban like the tutorial one that's free. Some you should only run for 30-40 levels on a skill. That's the learning part of botting I suppose. Do a quest, after that level up a skill, switch and repeat something else. Use the breaks on the settings. Don't let the bot run over 8-12 hours.

I fully agree. But this ban didnt come from any script. I manually played this account on the dream bot client. Absolutely zero scripts used.

I think I had the same problem. Make sure no injections are turned on and have fresh start on. launch program again.

Edit you were right. I found out that a month ago all bots like Dream client that use injection get auto banned. The only bots that don't get banned now are Clients that have Mirror mode. I can't even suicide bot the bans are fast. I tried using zero scripts too and the ban was just delayed after 12-15 hours.

Did you experiment some more? I am curious if I should get covert mode or if its not gonna make a difference.

You've always faced a higher risk of bans when using injections, even way back in the day. Many things that can be done through injections can't actually be done by a real player, like changing prayer or eating without moving mouse / changing tab. The OP likely was banned based on more than just not using official client, their IP was likely flagged or datacenter proxy being used. It's definitely possible to receive macro bans without botting but usually the person didn't change much up between previous botting offences aside from making a new account. I have multiple members / f2p accounts still botting strong that are months old, so its definitely not just client based.
