lolcox 0 Share Posted May 15, 2022 I was botting fine for weeks, nothing happened. I was always babysitting, doing manual pauses, talking and being social questing in between... and then I wanted to use a shop-buying script. It was buggy and threw an error. In less than 24 hours I was banned, allegedly from a botting client. I think the error was nullPointerException but I'm not 100%. I've read about this before. When bot clients throw java errors, it ends up as a ban very quickly.
yeeter 517 Share Posted May 15, 2022 Going to doubt that error is what got you banned, sounds like just some poor luck.

Wouldn't Jagex be able to see Java errors and wouldn't they be huge red flags?

They don't see any scripts errors Like @yeeter01 said, you probably just had bad luck and got caught botting
RSMasterGuard 19 Share Posted May 15, 2022 100% agree with above, I write a lot of my own scripts and throw errors around like they are going out of fashion, 0 bans on any of those accounts. Only gotten banned on one account that was because I used a free public script.
Pandemic 2675 Share Posted May 15, 2022 It's more likely that a script error caused the script to act strangely, repeating the same thing over and over or failing to do something repeatedly. RSMasterGuard
