Gentleman, do  I need to have OSRS installed first to be able to install the bot client?

If so, I can not figure out how to install it. That's the best I could find to no avail.

You don't need OSRS installed, just do what the others said
Download DBLauncher.jar and find the path to it (for example /home/YOUR_USER/DBLauncher.jar) and just do

    java -jar "/home/YOUR_USER/DBLauncher.jar"

I have to ask though, why are you running Debian if such a simple task is difficult for you?

Will try when I’m home. I did try these commands many times and it was saying that it can not find the directory or repository.
To your question: Debian is one of the best OS in the world if not the best.

Edit: Do I need to extract the launcher on Debian?

    Yup, as I was saying.

Error: Unable to access jarfile /home/pacome11/DBLauncher.jar
