Dinosaurs 5 Share Posted October 20, 2020 Hello everyone, I am a huge noob with computers, so please bear with me if I'm being dumb here. When running 5 clients on my dell G3 3579 laptop, the fan starts making a lot of noise. I'm using about 73% of the computer's memory, and that's with CPU saver mode and disable client rendering on. Is there a way I can increase my computer's performance? I'm just looking to add about 5 or so more clients running at the same time for now. Also I realize a laptop is not ideal, so what would you recommend for a small farm (5-10 clients at once)?
yeeter 517 Share Posted October 20, 2020 The core issue with a laptop is cooling. About any cheapo desktop 8gb of ram with a cheap AMD processor should be able to pump out 5-10 clients.
Pandemic 2675 Share Posted October 20, 2020 Most likely it's a script optimization issue, try to profile it using something like VisualVM.
