It doesn't see like a terribly hard concept, aside from some API changes. and @Polish Civil already had a working prototype for it awhile ago. If u guys want ur shield, we sh'all have it soon. Instead of putting their time into developing something useful they have to waste their time working on mirror mode because RuneScape botters don't have any idea what's good and what's bad.
