Fran 99 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Hey guys, though most of SmartGit users probably know it, this is basically to help new scripters. If you don't feel like purchasing a license to use Smartgit once your trial expired, here is a quick way to re-start the trial Windows: %APPDATA%\syntevo\SmartGit\<main-smartgit-version> OS X: ~/Library/Preferences/SmartGit/<main-smartgit-version>Unix/Linux: ~/.smartgit/<main-smartgit-version> and remove the file settings.xml. Then start SmartGit program again... And done. This time you will be asked about all the Settings information, which includes the license

Stormscythe 263 Share Posted April 21, 2015 There is a free version (for private use) I believe. I think I use that. Does that expire too?

Explicit 213 Share Posted April 22, 2015 Why don't you just use SourceTree?
