I'm assuming you're botting on an account you care about if you're using the authenticator. This is not recommended as you'll probably catch a ban..

I was using a bot that checks a list of accounts to see if they are members or not, when it hit an account I had put an authentication on,(to test out if it would change the likely-hood of being banned) it broke.

Perhaps check with the scripter that wrote it and ask them to account for that state and have it continue on in the list.

Oh I was told it was a client bug so I though i'd report it

Was it my script? It should not break there at all It has been supporting auth for quite a while now. The Client itself just spams the message to the console for whatever reason.
