You're fine to bot on your main IP. If you decide to go with a proxy, you need an ipv4 socks5 with user/pass authentication.

I usually get a few temp bans when I first begin using a new proxy.

No, the script is always running and does not show any logs. The login handler types the information, hits enter twice or three times then tries typing the login again- without ever actually attempting to login. While f2p fishing. I have a minnow running, logs in fine.
