Dear dreambot staff,

 

This appeal is in regard to my recent suspension for posting a link

in my signature space.

 

Heres the message given to me after I was suspended.

 

The Suspension was issued by Lily for Advertisement in Profile, I'm 

assuming this is for the signature I uploaded containing a link to

my business webpage.

 

The following message was prevented as a reason for my ban:

"To advertise on DreamBot you must purchase a slot or Sponsor rank.

 

Please read the forum rules

After reading the rules I was unable to find any thread stating 

that you require a significant rank to advertise on the forums.

 

I found the following quote in the general rules:

"Do not spam the forums at anytime for any reason. We 

define spam as the posting of irrelevant or inappropriate messages. 

Do not post links or messages self-promoting or advertising for 

businesses, services, communities or unrelated threads. Spamming 

also includes the sending of messages to large amounts of members 

using our personal messaging system."

 

By this notion, no-one should be allowed to post any advertisements 

on dreambot to my understanding. I then read the blackmarket forum 

rules.

 

Where I found the following quotes:

"1. Any member is free to do services, however members should be 

aware of who a provider is before they purchase or trade for service. 

Such acknowledgements would include vouches and their trader feedback."

 

This describes that services are allowed to be provided. It 

specifically says, "any member".

 

By my interpretation this means there is no difference in authority 

in the marketplace between a sponsor, donor, or free user.

 

My following actions were lead by example of other dreambot users.

 

I noticed that there were alot of active threads in the dreambot 

marketplace that had external links. After having read the forum 

rules I felt confident I wouldn't be punished for something others

were already doing.

 

I also read the following rule:

"5. No external links to other websites providing vouches or 

services are allowed, everything must be from within the 

DreamBot community."

 

Once again, I followed by example of other members of the community. 

Ones that had active threads and weren't being punished for their 

actions.

 

I do regret breaking the rules that were set in place on the forum, 

but I also feel like I'm a victim of a forum that doesn't enforce 

its own rules properly. 

 

I viewed the marketplace and followed the lead of others instead of 

informing myself further with other market members, I'm sorry for 

doing this and it won't happen again.

PS, I wasn't able to appeal from my suspended account, so in order
to voice my concern I had to make a temporary account,
I'm sorry if this breaks additional rules but its the only option I could think of.

This post was made by me, I'd like to apologise once again, I would also like to know if I am allowed to advertise with the $25,- donor rank.

 

EDIT: I see that it is not allowed to have multiple accounts on dreambot from reading other appeals on this section. I'd like to apologise once again for creating the account I used to create my appeal, please note that my signature doesnt include a URL linking to an offsite page so it shouldn't break any of the rules. I really hope that I can see some reduction in warning points as this was my first offense and it genuinely was a mistake, I'm a new member on this forum and would hate to see my time here cut short because I already have 5 warning points on my profile, if this remains the case, my next mistakes/misinterpretation of the rules could be my last.
